I've tryed to synch my Pocket PC with Vista. I've read that ActiveSync has been replaced by a new SyncCenter included in Vista but it seems that don't work for me.
When I put my PocketPC on the cradle a Mobile Center opens and I can see the files on the PocketPC or open Media Player to synch music. But I can't synch any contacts or appointments from Outlook as with ActiveSync.
Any one had some experiences with PocketPC's and Windows Vista?
Regards, Angel.

Pocket PC Sync with Vista
Syncing with Outlook isn't available yet. An update will be coming out shortly apparently to enable this functionality.

There is an update available for Mobile Device Center. Either load Mobile Device Center under Control Panel->Additional Options or go to Windows Update.
I haven't gotten it to run after the update on Vista x64, but others have reported getting it working...which I assume was Vista x32.
If anyone has gotten it to work un the 64 bit version let me know please.

Glad to hear...and thank you. I'm sure there is a tweak or something. If/When I get it working, I'll post so anyone else running x64 can try it.

Hi, I have just installed the update and can sync my ppc with Vista except for contacts, calendar and email. Mobile Centre reports that Outlook has not been configured but does not suggest how you do this. Any thoughts. -- Thanks RobRoy

Could you describe how you make it works? I tried this update for 64 and 32 version. Both don't work. Vista recognized my Loox720 and offer to sync via Exchange. Sync list doesn't contain Tasks. Exchange sync doesn't return any error and syncing for a long time without success. Sync through PC is disabled.
What I did wrong?
Hi Rob,
I'm exactly in the same situation as you. The new update is great. I like the new Mobile Center and it was nice to get the new feature thought an automatic updated instead of wait for a new build. But is useless as I can't sync becouse I get an error that says that Outlook has not been configured.
I still not found a solution to this. :-(
Regards, Angel.
